Unions
Balanced relationship
The relationship with the unions has been balanced in the past years in all the locations where the company operates.
In Niquelândia, for example, this relationship is very constructive, and Anglo American is regarded by the local union leaders as a reference for labor negotiations in that region.
In Catalão, the local union required the incorporation of Copebrás to be followed by the adoption of the same labor practices as those adopted in other Anglo American’s units.
All the units have a collective negotiation agreement, but none of these agreements defines a minimum time for advanced notification of operational changes. So, the units usually inform their employees three to six months in advance in case of significant changes.
